Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gino Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dougie Diablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gino Colon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dougie Diablo!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Colon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Diablo to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Diablo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Colon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Colon has escaped and now he's on top!
Colon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Colon throws an elbow that misses. Diablo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Colon's guard. Nice move by Diablo!

Diablo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Colon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Diablo has Colon in his guard.

Diablo wants to stand up but Colon is controlling him.
Colon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dougie Diablo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Diablo tries for a takedown but Colon circles away easily
and Colon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Diablo thinking.

Gino Colon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dougie Diablo.

Colon is looking to break free of the clinch but Diablo has double underhooks.

Diablo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Colon sprawls well. Colon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diablo gets slowly back to his feet.

Oh but Diablo is tightening it up a little... Colon has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Colon reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Colon taps out! Nice BJJ there by Diablo!
