Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Gibbons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Socially Awkward Penguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penguin has chosen Why Cant We Be Friends as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbons misses with a straight left.

Penguin tightens his grip and picks Gibbons up, before dumping him to the ground. Gibbons manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Penguin works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Gibbons wants to stand and escape but Penguin is having none of it.

Penguin throws a strike but Gibbons rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

and Gibbons counters with a series of strikes. Penguin will be more careful next time no doubt.

That was a close round but I would say that Duke Gibbons will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

That kick from Gibbons tenderised Penguin's leg. Penguin is trying to keep his angry face on.
Penguin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gibbons paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Penguin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gibbons gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gibbons is trying to break the clinch but Penguin has him pressed against the cage.

Gibbons drops down looking for an ankle pick but Penguin pulls his leg out and moves away.

Gibbons stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gibbons wants it to stay on the feet.
Penguin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Gibbons moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Penguin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Duke Gibbons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Socially Awkward Penguin.

and Gibbons counters with a big right hand! Oh Penguin is in trouble here! Gibbons follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
