The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frazier throws a right and a left that Maes avoids nicely.
Frazier misses with a looping left.

The crowd cheers as Frazier lands an impressive looking overhand right. Maes doesn't seem phased though.

Maes tries to move into range but Frazier moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Frazier is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
The fighters circling - Frazier throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Maes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Frazier, as that shot connected.

Joe Frazier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frazier connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
