The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierdolo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pierdolo looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Mirapthlak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mirapthlak looking for a guillotine here but Pierdolo defends easily.
Pierdolo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mirapthlak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mirapthlak isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pierdolo stacks Mirapthlak on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pierdolo!
Mirapthlak is looking to regain half guard here but Pierdolo keeps moving and retains side control.

Pierdolo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mirapthlak tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pierdolo is in Mirapthlak's guard.

Pierdolo wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Mirapthlak's closed guard. He's half up but Mirapthlak has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Mirapthlak pivots and extends the arm, Pierdolo falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Mirapthlak! Well done that man!
