Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hulk Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetrious Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hulk Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Demetrious Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hogan.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hogan is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Johnson is trying to improve his position.
You can see the frustration on Johnson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Johnson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.


It looks like Demetrious Johnson has been cut.
Hogan working away.
Johnson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Hogan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.
Hogan trying to mount his opponent but Johnson defends it.
Johnson works his way to full guard. Good work.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hogan wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hogan lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Hogan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hogan is aware though and is defending well.
Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Hogan keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Hogan wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy.

Johnson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Hogan is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Demetrious Johnson.
Hogan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


It looks like Hulk Hogan has been cut.
Johnson sizes up Hogan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Hogan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hogan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Johnson regains half guard.
Johnson tries to get to full guard but Hogan has control of the leg.

Hogan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Johnson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Hogan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Johnson is defending against the submission attempts here by Hogan.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Hogan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Johnson trying to hold on to Hogan's head to control him but Hogan postures up.
Johnson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Hogan is staying active.
Hogan stops Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Johnson gets full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hogan throwing strikes but missing.
Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hulk Hogan will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Johnson lands a nice hook to Hogan's body. Hogan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Johnson cracks Hogan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Johnson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hogan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hogan gets slowly back to his feet.
Hogan takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hulk Hogan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Johnson lands a jab to Hogan's midsection.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A decent looking cross lands there for Johnson.
Johnson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Johnson with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Johnson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hogan. Hogan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Johnson throws out a powerful jab.


Hogan is rocked!
Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.

Johnson drops his shoulder and cracks Hogan with a huge uppercut! Hogan goes down! Can Johnson finish him?
Oh Hogan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnson wants to get up but he can't break Hogan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hogan seems to have got his legs back now.
Johnson wants to control from the top but Hogan keeps moving.
Johnson wants to stand but Hogan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Demetrious Johnson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Johnson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Demetrious Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hogan momentarily.
Johnson lands the left hand.
Johnson digs a good hook to Hogan's body.
Johnson scores with a hook to the body. Hogan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Johnson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Johnson connects with a body shot.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Johnson engages and cracks Hogan with a massive lead left hook - Hogan tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Johnson is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Demetrious Johnson!
