Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Johnson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Johnson is trying to defend but Wilson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Johnson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Johnson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wilson is trying to escape the mount but Johnson keeps good control and instead manages to take Wilson's back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Wilson knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Wilson for a finish.

Wilson is staying active underneath Johnson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Johnson wasn't active enough on the ground.
