The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uechi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Yamamoto counters with a three punch combo that has Uechi backing up. Uechi nods at Yamamoto to acknowledge the strikes.
Yamamoto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Uechi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Yamamoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Uechi dives in and grabs Yamamoto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yamamoto pushes down on Uechi's head and hops out.
Uechi has his takedown stuffed
and Yamamoto counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kanbu Uechi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yamamoto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Yamamoto counters with a series of strikes. Uechi will be more careful next time no doubt.

Yamamoto throws a series of punches but Uechi avoids them all with ease.
