PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Killer Bee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Riot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ricky Riot was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Killer Bee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riot doesn't manage to clinch there - Bee circles away.
Riot wants to clinch up but Bee keeps it at a distance.
Riot dives in and grabs Bee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bee pushes down on Riot's head and hops out.
Riot tries to clinch up but Bee circles away and keeps his distance.
Bee fails to land with a series of punches.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Riot is defended easily by Bee.
Riot blocks a head kick by Bee.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Bee.
Bee dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Riot. That did some damage!
Bee throws a right and a left that both miss.

Bee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bee wants it to stay on the feet.
Killer Bee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Riot.

Bee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Riot.
Riot throws a shot from downtown. Bee moves away and avoids it.
Bee feints and then cracks Riot's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Riot down.
Riot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bee tries to avoid it but Riot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bee to the ground. Bee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Riot throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bee leaves Riot with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bee scores with a one two! Riot had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

No luck for Riot with that takedown attempt.
Riot takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ricky Riot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bee explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Riot is looking to clinch but Bee is avoiding it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Riot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bee keeps the fight on the outside.

Riot tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Riot takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Bee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Riot.

Bee moves out of range as Riot strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bee scores with a leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Killer Bee dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Riot shoots in for a takedown but Bee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Riot rushes Bee and presses him up against the cage.
Bee tries to pull guard but Riot holds him up against the cage and eventually Bee drops back down to his feet.
Riot prevents the takedown attempt.

Bee tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bee has Riot pressed against the cage, preventing Riot from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Riot keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bee's efforts to push away.
Bee goes for a takedown in the clinch but Riot prevents it.

Bee is trying to pull guard but Riot turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Riot is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bee frees his head nicely. Oh but Riot has switched to an armbar! Bee is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ricky Riot decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
