The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie checks a low kick from De Groot.
De Groot keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says De Groot as he avoids it easily.
Rutger De Groot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by De Groot. De Groot obviously looking to wear him down.
De Groot lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
De Groot throws a leg kick that misses.
De Groot fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gracie.
Gracie has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by De Groot.
Gracie looks gassed!

De Groot throws a head kick that misses.
De Groot chopping away at his opponent's legs.
De Groot throws a leg kick but Gracie sees it coming and moves out of range.
De Groot connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Groot tries to land a leg kick but Gracie saw it coming and moves away.
Gracie has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from De Groot.

De Groot tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

De Groot throws a quick inside leg kick.
De Groot throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Gracie crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
