Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Christofi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gergu Dylan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gergu Dylan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dylan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Christofi drives through and clinches with Dylan against the cage.
Dylan tries to circle away but Christofi has him pinned against the cage.

Christofi pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Christofi seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Christofi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Christofi has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dylan off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Christofi decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Christofi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dylan's guard.

Christofi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Christofi seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dylan for as long as he can get away with.

Christofi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dylan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Christofi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
