The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abrams tries to clinch but Sankari is having none of it.
Abrams wants to clinch but Sankari slips to the side
and Sankari counters with a stiff right hand.
Abrams uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sankari has time to react.

It looks like Nyrkki Sankari has been cut.
Sankari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Abrams moves away.

Abrams moves into the clinch successfully.
Abrams tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sankari's elbow.
Sankari blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Abrams misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Sankari blocks an elbow strike.
Abrams lands a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Abrams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sankari doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sankari. Abrams shrugs it off though.
Sankari throws a shot to the body.
Abrams moves out of range of the body kick.
Sankari comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sankari lands a nice shot that snaps Abrams's head back.
Abrams scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Abrams tries to land a front kick but Sankari steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Nyrkki Sankari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sankari drops Abrams with a straight right hand, right on the button! Sankari follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
