Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gomer Pyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johann Joensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pyle might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Marines' Hymn. Joensen has chosen Gasolina as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pyle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Joensen avoids it really well and circles away.

Pyle feints and as Joensen raises his hands in defense, Pyle changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Gomer Pyle will probably get the nod.

Joensen lands an elbow that stopped Pyle in his tracks for a moment.

Pyle lands a right hand that snaps the head of Joensen backwards.
Pyle manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Pyle does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Pyle dives in and grabs Joensen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Joensen pushes down on Pyle's head and hops out.
Some bone on bone action there as Joensen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Joensen lands a left and a right that send Pyle crashing to the mat, dazed. Joensen thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Horrible takedown by Pyle or perhaps it was just good defense by Joensen which made him look bad.

Pyle gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Joensen points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Pyle wakes up just in time to hear Joensen thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

A relieved looking Johann Joensen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
