Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Paqiuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz's entrance music is Last Ones Left by 2PAC. A fine choice. Manny Paqiuo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paqiuo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Paqiuo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Diaz walks into a stiff left hand from Paqiuo.
A looping hook to the body misses from Paqiuo. Diaz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Paqiuo. Those never looked like landing.
Diaz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Paqiuo shows good takedown defense.
Paqiuo lands with a nice combination. Diaz backs away looking to recover.
Diaz has his takedown stuffed
and Paqiuo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Paqiuo throws an off balance right hand

and Diaz counters with a single leg into guard. Paqiuo didn't expect that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Paqiuo, up you get!
Paqiuo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Paqiuo scores with a jab to the body.
Diaz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Diaz misses with a takedown attempt
letting Paqiuo counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Paqiuo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz dives in and grabs Paqiuo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Paqiuo pushes down on Diaz's head and hops out.
Diaz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Paqiuo.
Diaz fails to land the takedown.
Paqiuo misses with a two punch combination.
Paqiuo misses with the combination.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paqiuo sprawls well. Paqiuo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Diaz gets slowly back to his feet.
Diaz is breathing heavily.
Diaz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Paqiuo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Diaz scrambles back to his feet.
Diaz shoots in for a double leg but Paqiuo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Diaz takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Manny Paqiuo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Paqiuo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Diaz shoots in but no luck this time.
Paqiuo lunges at Diaz with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Diaz's hand.
Nice body punch from Paqiuo.

A jab lands there for Paqiuo.
A lazy left from Paqiuo finds it's target.

Paqiuo lands a left and a right that send Diaz crashing to the mat, dazed. Paqiuo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Diaz is rocked!
Diaz drops his hands for a split second and Paqiuo immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Diaz face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Paqiuo follows up with a right hand that knocks Diaz into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
