The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson throws a solid leg kick but Johnson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ferguson.

Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Johnson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Ferguson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ferguson wants to control but Johnson postures up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson works to advance to full mount. Ferguson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

It looks like Jonothan Ferguson has been cut.

Johnson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Ferguson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Johnson off and cradles Ferguson's limp body as Johnson celebrates with his corner.
