Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olaf Saurkraut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Burza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saurkraut's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Poland National Anthem. Burza has chosen Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle as his entrance music. Roman Burza will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Olaf Saurkraut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roman Burza!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Saurkraut throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Burza throws a right and a left that Saurkraut avoids nicely.
Olaf Saurkraut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burza tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Burza defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Saurkraut.
Nice takedown defense from Saurkraut. No joy for Burza on that attempt.
Saurkraut misses with a takedown attempt - Burza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Saurkraut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Olaf Saurkraut. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Burza or perhaps it was just good defense by Saurkraut which made him look bad.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Saurkraut lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Burza has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Burza and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Saurkraut throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Saurkraut attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
No luck for Saurkraut with that takedown attempt.
Saurkraut will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Saurkraut shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burza as he avoids it easily.

Saurkraut tries to sprawl but Burza drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Saurkraut has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Burza is working away from the top position though.

Burza working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Burza is trying to control. Saurkraut wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Burza wants to control from the top but Saurkraut keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Burza manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Burza misses with a takedown attempt - Saurkraut sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Burza tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burza is not content to let Saurkraut control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Saurkraut throws a strike aimed at the side of Burza's head but Burza avoids it well.
Saurkraut working the strikes but Burza uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Burza desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Burza wants to get back to full guard.

Saurkraut is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Burza sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice strikes from Saurkraut there.
Burza has hold of Saurkraut's hands but Saurkraut slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Saurkraut is keen to just control but Burza is a slippery customer.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Burza is looking to escape.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Olaf Saurkraut will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Saurkraut looks for a takedown but Burza sprawls well.

Burza looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Saurkraut is fending him off so far but Burza persists. Nope, Saurkraut circles away and we're back to standing.
Burza swings and misses with a hook to the body.

No luck for Saurkraut with that takedown attempt.

Saurkraut looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Burza!
Saurkraut has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Saurkraut has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Burza's face.

Saurkraut breaks from Burza's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Saurkraut tries to control but Burza wriggling away.
Saurkraut pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Burza blocking the ground and pound.
Saurkraut sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Burza wants to hold on but Saurkraut pushes him away.
Saurkraut takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Saurkraut is landing with some decent strikes but Burza is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Saurkraut lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


Burza is rocked!
Burza takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Saurkraut's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Olaf Saurkraut!
