Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Robbin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cray Willams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Robbin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cray Willams!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Willams gets caught flat footed, as Robbin shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Willams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Robbin passes into half guard.
Robbin lands strikes from half guard.
Robbin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Robbin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Robbin works his way into side control.
Willams is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Robbin tries to score with some ground and pound. Willams controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Willams is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Robbin has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Robbin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Robbin in side control, throwing shots but Willams defends.
Robbin trying to control the position but Willams is working away.

Robbin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Willams knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Robbin fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Willams managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Robbin.
Robbin throwing strikes but Willams manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Robbin tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Willams stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Robbin closes the distance but Willams moves to the side
and Willams counters with a nice low kick that buckles Robbin's knee momentarily.

Willams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Robbin to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Robbin trying to control the position from guard on top but Willams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Robbin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Robbin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Robbin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Willams's guard.
Willams avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Robbin.

Robbin is working for a submission of some sort.
Nice strikes from Robbin there.

Willams keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Robbin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Robbin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Willams is on top in guard.
Willams wanted to stand there but Robbin had control of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robbin is working an open guard so Willams takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Willams prevents Robbin from moving into mount.

Robbin lands a nice forearm strike.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Robbin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Robbin is trying to get an arm triangle but Willams is defending well.

Robbin misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Robbin in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Robbin wants to advance to full mount but Willams doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Willams wants to stand but Robbin is controlling the position.
Robbin trying to control the position from guard on top but Willams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Robbin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Robbin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Willams works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Robbin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Willams's guard.
Robbin is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Robbin wants to control from the top but Willams keeps moving.
Willams keeping full guard, as Robbin tries to pass.
Robbin looking to sit in guard and control but Willams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Robbin has a closed guard, preventing Willams from standing up.

Willams wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Robbin's closed guard. He's half up but Robbin has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Robbin pivots and extends the arm, Willams falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Robbin! Well done that man!
