Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Ivanovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genival Lacerda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacerda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ivanovich's waist but Ivanovich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lacerda off to one side.
Ivanovich scoring well with a low kick there.
Ivanovich throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ivanovich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ivanovich tries a head kick but it misses.
Ivanovich throws the kick towards the body but Lacerda avoids it.
Lacerda shoots in but no luck this time.
Lacerda will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ivanovich throws a series of punches but Lacerda moves out of range.

Lacerda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ivanovich tries to avoid it but Lacerda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ivanovich to the ground. Ivanovich escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lacerda walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Genival Lacerda has been cut.

Lacerda shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ivanovich's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lacerda is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Lacerda drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ivanovich dives on top into guard.

Lacerda is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ivanovich is aware though and is defending well.

Ivanovich avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lacerda working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ivanovich doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ivanovich manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lacerda isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ivanovich stacks Lacerda on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ivanovich!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lacerda is trying to control Ivanovich's posture but Ivanovich avoids it.

That was a close round but I would say that Igor Ivanovich will probably get the nod.

Ivanovich changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A combination from Ivanovich does no damage.
Ivanovich misses with a low kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Ivanovich.
Ivanovich thuds a left hand into Lacerda's body.
Lacerda drops his hands momentarily and Ivanovich takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lacerda takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lacerda shoots in looking for a takedown. Ivanovich tries to sprawl out of it but Lacerda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ivanovich manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lacerda keeps the fight on the outside.
Ivanovich lands a nice shot to the body.

Ivanovich bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ivanovich looks to score with a jab to the body but Lacerda is just out of range.

Ivanovich lands a big head kick that sends Lacerda tumbling to the mat! Ivanovich takes a step backwards and waves Lacerda back to his feet - he wants the finish!
