Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shane The Pain Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Sanches (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane The Pain Killer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doug Sanches!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Pain Killer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

The Pain Killer decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Sanches circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Sanches counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sanches.
The Pain Killer is looking to stand up but Sanches isn't so interested in that idea.

so The Pain Killer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sanches shoots for a double leg takedown but The Pain Killer sprawls well. He's pushed Sanches's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sanches takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The Pain Killer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sanches looks for a takedown but The Pain Killer sprawls well.
No luck for Sanches with that takedown attempt.
Sanches shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with The Pain Killer but The Pain Killer pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The Pain Killer stalks Sanches and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sanches's face. Sanches staggers backwards, shaken.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sanches.

Sanches takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The Pain Killer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sanches.
The Pain Killer tries to clinch up but Sanches circles away and keeps his distance.
The Pain Killer moves in looking to clinch but Sanches pushes him off.
The Pain Killer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The Pain Killer rushes Sanches and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sanches wants to break free but The Pain Killer has control.

The Pain Killer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The Pain Killer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanches swats him away and circles back towards the center.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Sanches is pushing down on The Pain Killer's leg trying to pass to half guard. The Pain Killer is fighting to maintain full guard but Sanches has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sanches is trying to control the action in half guard but The Pain Killer is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The Pain Killer pushes Sanches off looking to stand but Sanches dives back in and keeps control.
Shane The Pain Killer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

and Sanches counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for The Pain Killer!

Sanches trying to control but The Pain Killer is having none of it.
The Pain Killer's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Sanches jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but The Pain Killer manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The Pain Killer is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Sanches tries to move to mount but The Pain Killer blocks the move with his legs.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The Pain Killer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sanches is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Pain Killer shoots in and drives through. Sanches sprawls well.

Doug Sanches has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sanches looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shane The Pain Killer.
Well The Pain Killer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
