Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ted Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Per Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saukko has chosen Jedi Mind Tricks - Genghis Khan as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
A clash of legs there as Saukko blocks the low kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Saukko. Grant does a little dance to reset his feet.
Grant swinging wildly here.
Grant misses with a looping left.
Per Saukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saukko fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Grant will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Grant looks to score with a jab to the body but Saukko is just out of range.

Grant misses with a jab, cross combination.
Saukko throws a leg kick but Grant sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Grant takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Saukko fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Grant.
Saukko throws a big shot that misses.
Grant lands a jab.

Saukko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Saukko showed some decent athleticism there.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Saukko throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Grant to regain full guard.
Grant bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Saukko's guard.

Saukko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Saukko wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Grant is now in half guard.
Saukko tries to roll over but Grant keeps him under control.
Grant is trying to control the action in half guard but Saukko is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Grant wants to free his trapped foot but Saukko is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Saukko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Saukko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Saukko is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Grant regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Saukko.

Saukko content to control rather than advance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Saukko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Grant's head.

That's time! Grant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Grant pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Saukko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Grant.
Grant scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Saukko doesn't seem bothered though.
Grant swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Saukko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Saukko ducks under a wild hook from Grant.
Saukko shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grant sprawls well. Grant wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Saukko gets slowly back to his feet.

Saukko has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Grant lands a nice looking body shot.
Grant throws a hook but Saukko avoids it easily.
Saukko throws a chopping leg kick but Grant manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Grant tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ted Grant is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Grant avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Grant manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Saukko manages to get himself to full guard.

Horrible takedown by Saukko or perhaps it was just good defense by Grant which made him look bad.

Saukko shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Saukko scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Ted Grant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Saukko lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A nice combination there by Grant.

Saukko is rocked!

That has opened up Per Saukko's cut even more.
OH! Saukko has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Grant smells blood and charges in for the finish! Grant unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Saukko sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Ted Grant really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Milwaukee's Best 160 SALE $150 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
