The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chippa circles away quickly and effectively.

Chippa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Thomas quickly recovers to half guard.
Chippa scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Thomas is looking for a sweep. Chippa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Thomas is looking to get back to full guard here but Chippa has managed to pass to side control instead.
Chippa cracks Thomas with an elbow. That is naaassty.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chippa scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Thomas is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Chippa can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Chappa Chippa spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
