The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsukata fails to land the takedown.

Chalas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Matsukata counters with a takedown into side control.

Matsukata wants to control the pace but Chalas is squirming around nicely.
Matsukata prevents Chalas from getting the reversal.
