Bull comes to the cage accompanied by Black Label Society - Fire It Up. Nelson has chosen Archie Eversole - We Ready as his entrance music. Byron Nelson acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Byron Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bull with a nice cross.
Bull throws an overhand right that lands on Nelson's shoulder, as Nelson tries to avoid the shot.
Bull misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nelson throws a head kick but Bull moves out of range.
Bull connects with a high kick.
Nelson with a hook.
Bull misses with an uppercut. Nelson saw that one coming.
Nelson throws out a loose jab but Bull uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bull displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nelson throws out the jab.
Nelson throws a half hearted mid kick.
Nelson tests Bull's chin there with a solid looking shot.
No joy there for Bull, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nelson throws a body kick that misses.
Roy Bull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown but Bull manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nelson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bull works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nelson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Bull throws an overhand right that lands on Nelson's shoulder, as Nelson tries to avoid the shot.
Bull throws a looping overhand right but Nelson ducks down to avoid it.
Bull moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Nelson is looking to clinch.
Bull misses with a hook
and Nelson counters with a nice uppercut.
Nelson wants to clinch.
Nelson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bull lands a jab to the head.
Bull just misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Byron Nelson will probably get the nod.

Nelson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bull's head.

Bull fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nelson manages to avoid it.
Bull shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nelson sprawls well. Nelson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bull gets slowly back to his feet.
Nelson is looking to clinch but Bull is avoiding it.

Nelson gets caught flat footed, as Bull shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bull stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nelson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bull shoots in for a double leg but Nelson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nelson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bull tries to bum rush Nelson with a series of wild strikes but Nelson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bull looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Bull feints and then cracks Nelson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nelson down.
Nelson lunges at Bull with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bull's hand.

Nelson's corner calls for a 1-2. Nelson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nelson drops his hands momentarily and Bull takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Nelson scores with a hook to the body. Bull takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Bull tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nelson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Nelson tries to move into range but Bull moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Bull throws the left hand but Nelson avoids the punch easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nelson connects with the punch.
Nelson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bull manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roy Bull will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nelson, as that shot connected.

and Bull counters with a low kick, right behind Nelson 's knee.
Bull is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nelson.
Nelson misses with an uppercut.
Nelson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Nelson closes the distance and clinches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nelson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Nelson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bull just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bull content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Nelson fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Nelson tightens his grip and picks Bull up, before dumping him to the ground. Bull manages to land in guard.
Nelson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bull's guard.

Bull actively working from the bottom here.

Nelson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nelson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Bull has control of Nelson's left arm, preventing Nelson from doing any damage.

Bull lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nelson!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nelson wants to improve his position but Bull is controlling well.

Roy Bull overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bull cracks Nelson with a big right hand but Nelson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Nelson is pushing Bull's head away, looking to escape. Bull manages to hold on to the position though.
Nelson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Bull thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
You can see the frustration on Nelson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bull tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
