Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiromitsu Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Koh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiromitsu Tanaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Koh!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koh lands with a good body shot.
Tanaka on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Tanaka fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Koh is out of range.
Tanaka throws a body kick that misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Koh.
Koh feints a jab promting Tanaka to slip. Koh then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tanaka slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Koh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tanaka looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Koh throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tanaka counters with an outside leg kick.
Tanaka throws a head kick that misses.

and Tanaka counters with a nice double leg into side control. Koh won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Tanaka works to advance to full mount. Koh defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Tanaka lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Koh hang on?
You get the feeling that Koh really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Tanaka cracks Koh with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Koh is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tanaka looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Koh tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tanaka will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
BOOM! Tanaka connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Koh is desperately trying to improve his position but Tanaka has a good base and remains in mount.
