Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kjell Sword (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Jeffrey Ramirez has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeffrey Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kjell Sword!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sword takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Sword is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ramirez.
Sword looks to score with a jab to the body but Ramirez is just out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Sword misses the target.
Sword misses with a looping right.
Sword tries to move into range but Ramirez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ramirez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sword throws out the jab.

Sword feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sword works over Ramirez with some ground and pound from guard.
Ramirez is breathing heavily.
Sword throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ramirez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sword not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Sword postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sword throwing strikes but missing.
Ramirez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ramirez tries to get out of the position.

Sword trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sword content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Sword trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramirez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sword looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Sword has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ramirez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Sword postures up in Ramirez's guard and throws a big left but Ramirez blocks it.
Sword arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Ramirez's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kjell Sword!
