The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crim Jr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Man but Man pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Crim Jr is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Man slaps away a takedown attempt from Crim Jr, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Crim Jr takes the fight into the clinch.

Man drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Crim Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Man swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Man wants to get back to his feet but Crim Jr is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Man can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Iron Man was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Man pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crim Jr tries to clinch but Man moves out of range.

Man misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Crim Jr.

Man has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Crim Jr is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Man keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Crim Jr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Man might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Crim Jr kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Iron Man has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Man circles away from the clinch attempt.

Man closes the distance and pushes Crim Jr back into the cage.
Man tries to score a body lock takedown but Crim Jr shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Crim Jr throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Man is pushing Crim Jr up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Man tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Crim Jr smiles and moves away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rudell Crim Jr will probably get the nod.

Crim Jr fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Man looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Man throws a sloppy head kick and Crim Jr moves out of range easily.
Horrible takedown by Crim Jr or perhaps it was just good defense by Man which made him look bad.

Man's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crim Jr, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
