The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neely tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ek swivels and escapes.
Ek shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Neely sprawls well. Neely wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ek gets slowly back to his feet.
Ek fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Neely wants to take Ek's back here but Ek is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Ek has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Ek trying to control the hands but Neely breaks the grip.

Neely is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Ek won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Neely off his unconscious opponent!
