PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Turock Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Fishery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Trent Fishery was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Turock Rio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Trent Fishery!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rio throws a sloppy head kick and Fishery moves out of range easily.
Fishery throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rio dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fishery. That did some damage!
Fishery looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rio is fending him off so far but Fishery persists. Nope, Rio circles away and we're back to standing.
Turock Rio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rio throws a sloppy head kick and Fishery moves out of range easily.
Rio tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rio displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rio misses with a two punch combination.
Fishery avoids the head kick by Rio.
Fishery tries to close the distance and clinch but Rio swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fishery.
Rio misses with a two punch combination.
Rio will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fishery dodges the punch combination from Rio.
Rio misses with a double jab.
Horrible takedown by Rio or perhaps it was just good defense by Fishery which made him look bad.
Rio is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fishery takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Fishery is looking to clinch.
Fishery tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rio paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fishery slaps away a takedown attempt from Rio, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A head kick by Rio misses

and Fishery counters by moving into the clinch.
Rio gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Fishery successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fishery wants to stand up but Rio is controlling him.

Fishery pushes a forearm under Rio's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Rio is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Trent Fishery!
Trent Fishery really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Golden Supplements [O.R.G] logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
