PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Penguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glock Glock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penguin has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Glock shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

It looks like Glock might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Penguin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Penguin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Glock scores with a couple of nice shots.

It looks like King Penguin has been cut.
Penguin is breathing heavily.

Glock Glock has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Penguin enables Glock to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Penguin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Glock stays in close to Penguin's body and controls the position.
Penguin really is a fat lump.
Glock sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Penguin's guard.

Glock Glock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Glock decides to stand back up.

Glock closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Glock .

Glock has Penguin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Glock pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Penguin tumbling to the mat - Glock dives into Penguin's guard.
Glock slips nicely into half guard.

Penguin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Glock scores with a couple of nice shots.
Glock looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Penguin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Penguin is trying to stand up here but Glock is controlling him well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Glock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Glock closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Glock shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Penguin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Penguin seems a little lost for a moment, as Glock dominates the positioning.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Glock decides to stand up, so the ref orders Penguin to his feet.
Glock throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Penguin's head.

King Penguin's cut is getting worse.

Glock takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Glock has isolated one of Penguin's arms. Penguin looking to fight him off but Glock twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
