Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Vetchnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Hugo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo has chosen Above & Beyond Pres Oceanlab - On A Good Day as his entrance music. Alex Vetchnikov had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vetchnikov misses with an uppercut.
Hugo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hugo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vetchnikov.
Vetchnikov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hugo.
Vetchnikov waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Hugo. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Hugo to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Hugo is rocked!
Vetchnikov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Hugo is still in real trouble! Can Vetchnikov finish him?
Vetchnikov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hugo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hugo seems to have recovered his senses.

Hugo looking for a sweep. Not yet Hugo, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vetchnikov wants to control from the top but Hugo keeps moving.
Vetchnikov passes into half guard.
Vetchnikov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hugo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Vetchnikov is looking for a kimura here.
Hugo is trying to maintain the position but Vetchnikov is very close to passing his half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hugo is looking for a sweep. Vetchnikov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hugo wants to control but Vetchnikov is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alex Vetchnikov dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Vetchnikov misses with an uppercut.

Vetchnikov throws a shot from downtown. Hugo moves away and avoids it.
Hugo slips a straight right by Vetchnikov.
Vetchnikov on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hugo. Hugo obviously looking to wear him down.
Nice uppercut lands for Vetchnikov. That snapped Hugo's head back.
Vetchnikov lands with a right that hurts Hugo. Hugo looks to clinch but Vetchnikov throws a short knee that drops Hugo. This one is all over!
