Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funkyama connects with a leg kick. Ken looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ken fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That kick from Funkyama tenderised Ken's leg. Ken is trying to keep his angry face on.
Funkyama fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ken.
Funkyama turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Ken closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Funkyama did well to prevent Ken getting side control.
Ken prevents Funkyama from improving his position.
Ken throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ken uses his free foot to push down on Funkyama's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Funkyama.
Ken connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Funkyama working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ken tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Ken looking to isolate an arm here. Funkyama doesn't see it coming and as Ken extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Ken!
