The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Togawa throws a body punch but Hare moves out of range.

Togawa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hare looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hare is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hare dodges the ground and pound from Togawa.
Hare tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hare manages to work his way to half guard, despite Togawa's best efforts.

Hare looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hare tries to roll over but Togawa keeps him under control.

Hare is looking for a triangle but Togawa pushes his legs off easily.
Togawa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hare is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hare is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Togawa pushes Hare off looking to stand but Hare dives back in and keeps control.
Hare thows a huge punch but Togawa dodges it nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Togawa can do anything to dispel that myth.

Togawa is trying to maintain the position but Hare is very close to passing his half guard.

Togawa tries to hold on but Hare pushes him away.

Togawa reaches up and pulls Hare towards him, trying to control the position. Hare manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Togawa! Togawa tries to roll over - now Hare is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Togawa has to tap out! Great work there by Hare!
