Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Moorer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogey James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dudley Moorer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dudley Moorer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bogey James!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James clinches.
James can't get the takedown.
James is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Moorer pulls him back up using the underhooks.
James is trying to pull guard but Moorer turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Dudley Moorer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bogey James.
James landing knees to the head.
James is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Moorer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
James tries for a takedown. No joy.

James breaks from the clinch.

James shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Moorer is trying to defend but James finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
James missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
James thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Moorer landing rabbit punches to the side of James's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.

James looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
James stalling away here and it's allowed Moorer to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
James tries to free his leg and advance position but Moorer is retaining full guard.

Moorer wants to get back to his feet but James is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
James throws an elbow that misses. Moorer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Moorer!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if James can do anything to dispel that myth.
Moorer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
James not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Moorer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James has control of Moorer's left arm, preventing Moorer from doing any damage.
Moorer lands a couple of elbows.
Moorer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

James looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Moorer trying to control but James is working from the bottom.

James is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Moorer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now James is on top in guard.

James postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Moorer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of James, into his guard.
James wants to sweep here but Moorer controlling him for the moment.
James utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
James trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Moorer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Moorer postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it.

James looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Moorer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and James dives on top into guard.
Moorer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Moorer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from James.
James stops Moorer from standing up.
James throws a big right hand that misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James is pushing down on Moorer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Moorer is fighting to maintain full guard but James has managed to sneak the leg through.
Moorer has hold of James's hands but James slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

James seems to be working for a kimura but Moorer defends the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bogey James dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Moorer lands the left hand.

James rushes Moorer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Moorer is trying to force a seperation but James has the dominant position.
Moorer wants to get back to striking at distance but James won't allow it.
Moorer is trying to break the clinch but James has him pressed against the cage.

James turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
James scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Moorer to see if he's OK.
Bogey James has got the better of the ground game so far.
James wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moorer keeps working.
James tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ground and pound from James seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
James looks up at the clock and then as Moorer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, James smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
James looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Moorer is avoiding damage well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James grinds an elbow into Moorer's temple.

James decides to stand back up. James steps back and let's Moorer get back to his feet.
James tries to clinch but Moorer moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moorer.
Moorer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

James looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

James stands up from guard. Let's bang!
James tries for a takedown but Moorer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Moorer lands the left hand.
James closes this distance looking for a takedown but Moorer circles away.

James fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Moorer to the ground. James is now in Moorer's guard.
James is breathing heavily.
Moorer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
James prevents Moorer from getting back to his feet.
James throws an elbow that misses. Moorer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Moorer!
James is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Moorer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and James dives on top into guard.
James not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Moorer is looking to stand up but James isn't so interested in that idea.

Moorer uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Moorer scores with a jab. James acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
James tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moorer swivels and escapes.
Dudley Moorer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bogey James.
James shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A right-left combo lands from Moorer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

James feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
James wants to get up but he can't break Moorer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bogey James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Moorer leaves James with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Moorer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
James shoots in for a takedown but Moorer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
James looks for a takedown but Moorer sprawls well.
Dudley Moorer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bogey James.
James misses with a takedown attempt
and James takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Moorer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
James tries to clinch up.
James throws a wild body kick that Moorer sees coming a mile off.
James misses with a low kick.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moorer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
James takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Moorer throws a leg kick but James checks it.

James moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

James looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Moorer!
James lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Moorer tries to hold on but James postures up.
Moorer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because James is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
James looking to finish with strikes here!
Moorer wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by James.
Dudley Moorer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Moorer tries to lock up and control but James gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
James putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Moorer wants to control but James is having none of it.
James cracks Moorer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The referee warns Moorer that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
James landing strikes, looking to finish!
Moorer is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Moorer tries to lock up and control but James gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
James lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


Moorer is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for James! Moorer is hurt baaadly! James is firing away with more strikes - Moorer is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bogey James!
After winning the bout, Bogey James thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
