PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Von Prawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larry Von Prawn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Von Prawn but Von Prawn pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Von Prawn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hendricks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Von Prawn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hendricks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hendricks is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Von Prawn defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Von Prawn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hendricks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Von Prawn has managed to get both his arms back between Hendricks's legs - danger averted.

Hendricks is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Von Prawn is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hendricks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Von Prawn gets to his feet and stands over Hendricks, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Hendricks felt that one! Von Prawn unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Hendricks from any more punishment!
