Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rich Durham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry White!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Durham gets back to half guard.
Durham actively working from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Durham tries to get to full guard but White has control of the leg.
Durham is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but White pulls his head out easily.
White wants to control but Durham is keeping him busy.
Durham is trying to stand back up but White is controlling him
White winds up and cracks Durham with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
White looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
White wants to work for an arm triangle but Durham is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Durham moves into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Durham is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and White defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
White is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Durham has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. White is looking to defend but Durham has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for White! Durham pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, White taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rich Durham!
