The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phuttharaksa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McDaniels defends it nicely.
McDaniels feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Phuttharaksa sprawling to the canvas! Phuttharaksa rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McDaniels finish him?!
It looks like Thiraphon Jr Phuttharaksa has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Phuttharaksa shoots in for a takedown but McDaniels shows good takedown defense.
Phuttharaksa slips a jab and a cross from McDaniels.
McDaniels dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

McDaniels wants to stand but Phuttharaksa is controlling the position.

Phuttharaksa seems to be working for a kimura but McDaniels defends the submission attempt.
McDaniels pushes Phuttharaksa off looking to stand but Phuttharaksa dives back in and keeps control.
Phuttharaksa is looking for a kimura but McDaniels is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Phuttharaksa to get the leverage.
Phuttharaksa is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McDaniels is trying to stand up here but Phuttharaksa is controlling him well.

McDaniels makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
McDaniels throws the left hand but Phuttharaksa avoids the punch easily.
Oooooh!!! McDaniels has knocked Phuttharaksa down with a huge combo! McDaniels steps away and waves a wobbly Phuttharaksa back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

McDaniels throws a pinpoint strike between Phuttharaksa's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Phuttharaksa crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and McDaniels scores a great knockout victory!
