The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Apollo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kenny is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Apollo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kenny's back instead.

Kenny is looking to stand up but Apollo won't let him.

Kenny might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Apollo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Kenny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Apollo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Apollo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

No joy there for Kenny, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kenny rushes Apollo and presses him up against the cage.

Kenny with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Kenny shoots in and bounces Apollo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Apollo drops back looking for a leg! Kenny is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kenny manages to kick Apollo off! Apollo jumps back into Kenny's guard.

Apollo drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Apollo as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kenny screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Apollo! Nice submission victory there!
