The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Petterson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gawdat won't be happy with that.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Petterson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gawdat pushes Petterson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Petterson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Gawdat takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Gawdat is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Petterson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gawdat is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Petterson is working to tighten is grip on Gawdat 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gawdat has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Petterson is really squeezing tight and eventually Gawdat passes out! Petterson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
