PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jameson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Turtle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jameson comes into the arena with Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jimmy Jameson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tom Turtle!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jameson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Turtle looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Turtle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Jameson gets caught napping as Turtle dives in and scores a takedown. Jameson manages to retain guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Turtle stops Jameson from standing up.

Jameson kicks Turtle off and gets to his feet.
Jameson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Turtle back to the ropes. Jameson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Turtle takes a jab right on the kisser.
A nice combination there by Jameson.
Jameson tries to bum rush Turtle with a series of wild strikes but Turtle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Turtle dives in and grabs Jameson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jameson pushes down on Turtle's head and hops out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jameson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Turtle takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Turtle closes the distance and clinches up with Jameson, looking for a takedown. Turtle pushes Jameson against the ropes but Jameson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jameson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Turtle is rocked!
Jameson cracks Turtle with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Turtle tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jameson pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Turtle is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Jameson!
Jimmy Jameson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
