Timmons kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is San Francisco Anthem. Johnny Garcia has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timmons closes the distance looking to clinch
and Garcia counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Timmons's guard now.
Timmons is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Garcia defends well.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Garcia accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Timmons working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Garcia has passed into half guard!

Garcia is keen to just control but Timmons is a slippery customer.

Timmons regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Garcia.
Timmons has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Garcia should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Timmons has tightened it up now! Garcia should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
