Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shadow Deathgrip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan has chosen Mongol as his entrance music. Shadow Deathgrip has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shadow Deathgrip!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Genghis Khan!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deathgrip throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Khan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Deathgrip is in Khan's guard.

Deathgrip drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Khan dives on top into guard.
Khan advances to half guard.

Deathgrip moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Khan stays in close to Deathgrip's body and controls the position.
Khan wants to control from the top but Deathgrip keeps moving.

Deathgrip is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Khan is aware though and is defending well.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Genghis Khan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Deathgrip feints and then cracks Khan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Khan down.
Khan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Deathgrip looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Khan is fending him off so far but Deathgrip persists. Nope, Khan circles away and we're back to standing.

Horrible takedown by Deathgrip or perhaps it was just good defense by Khan which made him look bad.

Khan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Deathgrip uses from the top position.

Deathgrip changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Deathgrip manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Deathgrip darts in and clinches Khan up against the cage.
Deathgrip drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Khan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Khan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Deathgrip is looking to wear down Khan with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

The fighters circle momentarily. Deathgrip darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Deathgrip is trying to drag Khan to the mat but Khan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Deathgrip tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Deathgrip has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Khan is looking for a sweep.
Deathgrip creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Khan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Shadow Deathgrip showed his dominance in that final round.
