These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ariffin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lannister swings for the body but Ariffin moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ariffin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lannister.
Ariffin moves in looking to clinch but Lannister pushes him off.
Lannister shoots in for a takedown but Ariffin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lannister crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ariffin - the referee stops the clock and Lannister gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ariffin. Lannister manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Ariffin shoots in for a double leg but Lannister sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lannister changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ariffin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lannister has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ariffin is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Lannister yanks on the arm and Ariffin is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Lannister.
