Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zacko Slamor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slamor tries to sprawl but Rogers drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Rogers throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Slamor to regain full guard.

Rogers drops back, looking for a kneebar! Slamor looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Slamor looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Slamor!
Rogers bucks up and tries to throw Slamor off but instead Slamor has got his back!
Slamor really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Rogers.
Rogers trying to control the hands but Slamor breaks the grip.
Rogers looking very determined here, making life difficult for Slamor.
Rogers rolls, trying to escape but Slamor keeps control of the position.
Rogers is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Slamor is landing with strikes. Rogers can't take much more of this.
Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slamor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Slamor is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Rogers is defending well though. Slamor let's go of the attempt for now.
Slamor is trying to stick to Rogers's back but Rogers is turning into Slamor. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Slamor's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rogers.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Slamor enables Rogers to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Slamor manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Rogers content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Slamor has locked up a guillotine! Slamor's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Rogers is holding on here and Slamor must be using up a lot of energy. Rogers has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Slamor gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
