The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaMontange tries to clinch up but Rousseau circles away and keeps his distance.
Rousseau is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Rousseau lands a two punch combo.
Rousseau lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Hector LaMontange has been cut.
A right-left combo lands from Rousseau.

LaMontange is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
LaMontange throws a sloppy head kick and Rousseau moves out of range easily.

LaMontange shoots for a takedown but Rousseau saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
LaMontange seems to have recovered his senses.

Rousseau tries to bum rush LaMontange with a series of wild strikes but LaMontange uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

LaMontange dives in and grabs Rousseau's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rousseau pushes down on LaMontange's head and hops out.
LaMontange closes the distance but Rousseau moves to the side
and Rousseau counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

That has opened up Hector LaMontange's cut even more.
Rousseau throws a series of strikes that have LaMontange backpedaling.
Rousseau dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

LaMontange shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rousseau's guard.
LaMontange stops Rousseau from standing up.
LaMontange lands a couple of digs.
Rousseau is looking to stand back up but LaMontange counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Rousseau.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
LaMontange content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
LaMontange is looking to advance position but Rousseau won't allow it.
Rousseau is staying active underneath LaMontange, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rousseau wants to stand back up but LaMontange manages to pass into side control.
LaMontange grinds an elbow into Rousseau's temple.
Rousseau is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
LaMontange is looking to take a break and control but Rousseau is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

LaMontange is working to tighten is grip on Rousseau's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rousseau has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but LaMontange is really squeezing tight and eventually Rousseau passes out! LaMontange breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
