Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Genovese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grant comes to the cage accompanied by Beanie (Mack B****). Genovese has chosen Kick-Ass: Music Soundtrack as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Genovese to the ground. Grant is now in Genovese's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Genovese seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Genovese is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Grant is controlling him.
Grant passes into half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chris Genovese hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Grant uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Genovese.
Genovese takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Grant misses with a takedown attempt - Genovese sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Grant ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A slow jab from Genovese misses its intended target.
Grant shoots in and gets a takedown into Genovese's guard.

Grant trying to control the position from guard on top but Genovese is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Genovese has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Grant has passed into side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Genovese.
Grant pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Genovese back to the cage. Grant follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The fighters circling - Genovese throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Grant throws out a loose jab but Genovese uses good head movement to avoid it.
Genovese attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Grant throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Genovese misses with an uppercut.
Grant tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Genovese swivels and escapes.
Nice straight punches there by Genovese. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Genovese.
Grant lands a two punch combo.
Grant shoots in and drives through. Genovese sprawls well.

and Genovese counters with a crisp right that sends Grant to the canvas! Genovese follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

After the fight, Chris Genovese was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
