Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julius Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sun Shine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Its a Fight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julius Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 1, fighting out of London, Sun Shine!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Shine misses the target.
Shine throws a head kick but Steel moves out of range.
Steel misses with a straight left.
Steel dodges the punch combination from Shine.
Steel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Shine. Shine obviously looking to wear him down.
Steel misses with a few strikes there.
Some wild striking there from Steel.
Steel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shine throws a head kick but Steel moves out of range.
Shine throws a jab but it's blocked by Steel.
Shine tries for a takedown but Steel circles away easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Shine scores with a nice head shot.

Shine shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Steel sprawls well. Steel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shine gets slowly back to his feet.

Shine connects with a good right hand that stumbles Steel. Steel circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Steel counters with a left and a right that stings Shine.
Steel looks to land a combination. Shine sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Shine cracks Steel with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Steel moves out of range as Shine strikes.
Steel lands with an overhand left.
Julius Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shine throws a low kick but it's checked well by Steel.

Sun Shine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shine cracks Steel with a right hand to the side of the head.

Steel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shine.

Shine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steel.

Steel chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shine can pounce on him.
Steel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

I would just about give that final round to Sun Shine.
