Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenshin Asano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asano tries to bum rush Hunt with a series of wild strikes but Hunt uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Both fighters circling a little - Hunt finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Hunt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Asano drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hunt pulls his leg out and moves away.
Asano tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hunt swivels and escapes.

Horrible takedown by Asano or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunt which made him look bad.
Hunt goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Asano has gone for a leg lock! Hunt slips out almost immediately though and dives into Asano's guard.
Hunt slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Asano.

Asano knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunt on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Asano connects with a nice short shot to Hunt's temple.

Asano postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hunt is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Asano, into his guard.
Kenshin Asano overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Asano wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Hunt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Asano is proving hard to escape from.

Asano has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hunt avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hunt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hunt cracks Asano with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Hunt counters with a left and a right that stings Asano.
And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Hunt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hunt has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
