Nurmi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Turisas -Take the day!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wuan misses with a head kick.
Wuan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Nurmi fails with the takedown.
Wuan misses with a double jab.
Wuan swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Nurmi to counter with a crisp jab.
Nurmi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nurmi shoots in and drives through. Wuan sprawls well.
Wuan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nurmi.

Wuan forces Nurmi back against the ropes and clinches.
Knees in the clinch landing for Wuan.
Wuan pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
Wuan prevents the takedown attempt.
Lyo Wuan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sakari Nurmi.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nurmi has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Wuan regains guard immediately.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Nurmi pushes down on Wuan's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Wuan wants to control but Nurmi is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Wuan throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Nurmi uses his free foot to push down on Wuan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wuan.
Nurmi lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Nurmi has hold of Wuan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Wuan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nurmi lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Nurmi scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Nurmi looking to control but Wuan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Wuan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Wuan is in all sorts of trouble here.

Nurmi has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wuan's face.

Nurmi cracks Wuan with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
