The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zappa shoots for a takedown but Forbes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Zappa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zappa shoots in looking for a takedown but Forbes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Zappa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Forbes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Zappa.
Hampton Forbes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Zappa.

Forbes tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Zappa's elbow.

Forbes swings wildly with an uppercut but Zappa uses good head movement to avoid it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Forbes lands a vicious elbow to the side of Zappa's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Forbes tries to finish him with strikes but Zappa still seems able to defend himself so Forbes steps back and lets Zappa get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.
