The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voll misses the jab.
Bunga steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Voll.
Voll stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Voll clinches up against the ropes.
Bunga tries to score a body lock takedown but Voll shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Bunga is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Voll is defending well.
Bunga drops down looking for an ankle pick but Voll pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bunga dives in and grabs Voll's left leg, looking for a takedown. Voll pushes down on Bunga's head and hops out.

Voll connects with a right hand. Bunga shakes it off.
Voll looks to land a left hand but Bunga moved out of range nicely.

Voll throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bunga stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Voll throws a hook to the side of Bunga's head but Bunga sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Voll lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Frank Voll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bunga closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bunga has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Voll can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bunga postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Voll in real trouble here! The ref calls for Voll to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
