Vahaber kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dr.Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Still Dre. Pietila is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hard Night Out by Professor Green. Ara Vahaber has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vahaber moves out of range as Pietila throws a body kick.
Vahaber looks to land a right hand but Pietila moved out of range.
Pietila throws a lazy head kick
enabling Vahaber to counter with a crisp jab.
Vahaber closes the distance and clinches.

Vahaber has Pietila pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vahaber pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Pietila tumbling to the mat - Vahaber dives into Pietila's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Pietila is pushing Vahaber up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Pietila lands a right hand that snaps the head of Vahaber backwards.
Vahaber blocks an elbow strike from Pietila.
Vahaber has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pietila after a bit of a struggle.
Pietila tries to work over Vahaber's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Still in the clinch, Vahaber scores with a nice short uppercut.
Pietila is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vahaber throws a big uppercut that drops Pietila! More strikes from Vahaber and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Pietila lies dazed against the cage as Vahaber celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ara Vahaber!
Ara Vahaber was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
